KARACHI: Ikram Mehdi, a senior photojournalist at Business Recorder, died here on Tuesday. He was 79.
Mehdi had been working at Business Recorder since July 1, 2003.
He was known among his colleagues for his professionalism and dedication to photojournalism.
His son, Imran Mehdi, said he had been suffering from heart disease.
He is survived by his wife and six children.
Mehdi was known for his unwavering commitment to professional standards and ethical journalism.
Colleagues described him as a reserved and principled man.
His funeral prayers were offered at the Khair-ul-Amal Imambargah in Ancholi, which were attended, among others, by BR Executive Editor Sarfaraz Ahmed. The management of Business Recorder (BR) has extended its condolences to Mehdi’s family.
