LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari, in a statement, made a humorous remark on the state of public transport in Karachi, saying, “One has to admit it.”
She said that Karachi’s development and public transport have now become a source of entertainment in television dramas. She said, “Travelling on a Karachi bus has become a journey where every step is full of danger. What was once a garment is now in tatters, the passenger who was here ends up over there. The collar stays behind the neck, the tomato slips out of the shopping bag. God knows where the chicken has gone—only the feathers remain in one’s hand.”
Azma Bokhari further said, “If there is one thing that is truly happening, it is travelling on a Karachi bus.”
