KARACHI: A high-level United States business delegation completed a two-day visit to Karachi on Sunday, where members explored investment opportunities across several sectors with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

During the second day of the visit, the delegation met provincial ministers and discussed potential investment in a range of major development projects.

The talks included opportunities at Bin Qasim Industrial Park, Karachi Industrial Park and other proposed initiatives aimed at expanding industrial and commercial activity.

The visiting delegation also received detailed briefings on the Sindh Business One-Stop Shop, Keti Bandar Port, the NED Tech Park and the proposed Sindh International Financial Centre, with officials outlining the projects’ objectives and investment potential.

In a separate meeting with the Pakistan Business Council, discussions focused on opportunities in capital markets, agriculture, textiles, energy, minerals, healthcare and several other sectors of the economy.

Members of the American delegation expressed interest in Pakistan’s improving investment environment and the business opportunities available across different industries.

Business leaders also highlighted the importance of investor confidence, policy continuity and efforts to simplify business procedures, while acknowledging the facilitating role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in supporting investment initiatives.
