KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami(Karachi) on Sunday launched the Public Aid Digital Portal 2.0, aiming to strengthen citizen grievance redressal through the use of artificial intelligence (AI), social media and digital technology.
Speaking at the Public Aid Convention organised by the party’s Public Aid Committee at the Idara Noor-i-Haq, Karachi JI chief Monem Zafar said the effective use of AI, social media and digital platforms had become essential in the modern era to improve public outreach and public service.
He said JI was widely recognized for its commitment to public service, integrity and honesty, adding that the Public Aid Committee had played an important role in resolving citizens’ complaints and providing legal assistance. Monem Zafar said the party’s welfare work should be communicated more effectively so that people became aware of its sincere and transparent efforts to resolve public issues.
He said stronger public engagement, supported by modern technology and digital media, was necessary to ensure that the party’s message of public service reached more people. He said JI workers were bringing positive change to society through selfless community service. He highlighted the committee’s legal efforts for people affected by housing schemes, saying it had helped thousands of people obtain relief in disputes involving billions of rupees. He said JI had consistently defended citizens’ rights through constitutional, legal and democratic means. Referring to Karachi’s civic challenges, Monem Zafar said the party remained committed to expanding its public service network and urged workers to increase outreach so that more people could benefit from its welfare initiatives.
