KARACHI: Security Papers Limited (SPL) announced its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, reporting a profit before tax of PKR 1,598 million.
According to company announcement, the SPL continued to demonstrate the strength of its core business while advancing strategic investments in modernization, sustainability and long-term growth.
SPL recorded a gross profit of PKR 1,585 million, while net profit reached PKR 907 million. The Board of Directors have recommended to the shareholders, for their approval, a final cash dividend of PKR 9.00 per share i.e., 90 percent for the year ended June 30, 2026.
A key strategic initiative during the year was the Balancing, Modernization, and Replacement (BMR) of our paper-making machine (PM-2), with the project now in its execution phase. After the upgrade of the PM-2 machine, the Company will be able to produce banknote paper with enhanced quality and latest security features.
This machine upgrade endorses our long-term commitment to operational excellence, quality improvement and delivering value to the shareholders, while strengthening the Company’s ability to retain key customers, pursue new business opportunities and drive future growth.
Mohammad Aftab Manzoor, Chairman of the Board has said that “we recognize the progress made through the continued efforts and dedication of our people”.
The modernization of PM-2 machine, represents a major milestone that will further enhance our operational efficiency and strengthen our capabilities, he added.
“We are committed to achieve sustainable growth by building on this progress through and creating long-term value for our shareholders”, he said.
SPL has invested in its infrastructure upgrades, including the upgrade of the cogeneration power plant, construction of an additional 500,000 gallons water storage tank and installation of new reverse osmosis (RO) bores in order to reduce its dependency on external sources of water supply. As part of its sustainability efforts, SPL has installed an additional 350 kW solar power system this year to move towards renewable energy sources and promote cleaner energy.
These initiatives reflect SPL’s commitment to operational excellence, technological advancement and sustainable growth.
