HYDERABAD: HESCO Executive Engineer (XEN) Sajjad Parvez Memon has assured industrialists that electricity supply in Hyderabad’s industrial area will improve significantly within the next week following immediate corrective measures and feeder upgrades.

The assurance came during a meeting held at Indus Dyeing under the auspices of the Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade & Industry (HSATI). Sajjad Parvez Memon, accompanied by his technical team, met with industrialists to discuss persistent electricity-related issues affecting industrial operations.

The meeting was chaired by HSATI Senior Vice Chairman Amir Shahab, who highlighted the key challenges faced by industries, including load shedding, low voltage, frequent tripping, and repeated power interruptions.

He emphasized the need for both immediate and long-term solutions to ensure uninterrupted industrial production.

The meeting was attended by HSATI Vice Chairman Aisar Kumar, General Secretary Shahid Qaimkhani, other office-bearers, and members of the industrial community.During the session, XEN Sajjad Parvez Memon listened to the concerns raised by participants and directed his technical staff to begin addressing the reported issues without delay. He informed the meeting that improvement plans had already been prepared for the Indus Feeder, Haider Feeder, and SITE Feeder, while work on other affected feeders would be carried out in phases to enhance the reliability of electricity supply across the industrial area.

In a major relief for industrialists, Memon announced the immediate replacement of the conductor on the Hosiery Feeder, which has been experiencing repeated faults.

A planned shutdown has been scheduled for Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to facilitate the replacement work. The announcement was welcomed by representatives of the industrial community, who described it as a practical and timely step toward resolving longstanding power issues.

Speaking on the occasion, Sajjad Parvez Memon reaffirmed HESCO’s commitment to improving electricity services for the industrial sector and expressed confidence that the ongoing measures would bring noticeable improvements within a week.

The Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade & Industry appreciated Sajjad Parvez Memon and his team for their prompt visit, constructive approach, and swift response to the industry’s concerns. The Association expressed optimism that, under his leadership, the electricity situation in Hyderabad SITE would improve substantially, providing much-needed relief to industrial units and supporting uninterrupted industrial activity.
