KARACHI: Petrol pumps across Karachi witnessed a mixed response to the strike call by petroleum dealers on Thursday, with a number of filling stations remained closed while others continued to operate, allowing fuel supplies to continue in parts of the city.
The strike had been announced by a section of petroleum dealers over pending demands, including an increase in dealers’ margins and concerns regarding the proposed daily petroleum pricing mechanism. The partial closure led to queues at several operational filling stations, while motorists in some areas reported difficulties in obtaining fuel.
