Iranian minister visits Mazar-e-Iqbal

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday warmly welcomed Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni upon his arrival at Lahore Airport.

The governor Punjab along with the Iranian Interior Minister visited the Mazar-e-Iqbal, laid floral wreath and offered Fateha. On this occasion, special prayers were offered for the progress, prosperity and stability of both countries.

The governor said that Pakistan’s doors are always open for its Iranian brothers. He said that both Pakistan and Iran are brotherly Islamic countries and ties between the two countries are rooted in religion, culture and history. He said that Pakistan will stand with Iran in every difficult moment.

He said that Pakistan has played a key role for peace in the region by playing the role of mediator in the Iran-US war.

He said that Pakistan has always raised its voice for the sovereignty and geographical integrity of Islamic countries at the global level.
