KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 152,488 Tons of Cargo Comprising 106,754 Tons of Import Cargo and 40,449 Tons of Export Cargo during last 24 hrs ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 106,754 Tons Comprised of 65,650 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 5,710 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 3,266 Tons of Canola, 845 Tons of Lentils and 31,283 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 45,734 Tons Comprised of 21,963 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 387 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 1,539 Tons of Cement, 11,000 Tons of Clinkers, 8,224 Tons of Loose Bulk Cement and 2,621 Tons of Rice.
Six ships namely Yasa Golden Dardanelles, Aku Noble, X-Press Cassiopeia, Wan Hai 612, Sierra and Oc Grande are at berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Six ships Bai Chay Bridge, Mac London, Gsl Rossi, Feng Hai 66, Hafnia Shannon and X-Press Capella sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, Noree Sequel, Epic Sunter and MSC Lome-V are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Cargo volume of 93,662 tones comprising 67,515 tones imports cargo and 26,147 export cargo carried in 3,749 Containers (2,237 TEUs Imports and 1,512 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 17 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them six ships, AP Dubrava, Rostrum Zug, Hanfia Shannon, Maya Gas-I, Flag Gangos and GSL Rossi and another ship ‘Zhong Gu Ri Zhao’ carrying Steel Coil, Mogas, LPG, Coal and Container are expected to take berths MW-1, MW-2, FOTCO, EVTL, PIBT and QICT respectively on 21st July, 2026.
