Data Vault, NTC sign contract on sovereign AI services
KARACHI: Data Vault Pakistan has signed a three-year contract with the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) to provide its sovereign AI Services to the federal government. The agreement aims to support the development of nationally managed artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Under the contract, Data Vault Pakistan will deploy NVIDIA AI infrastructure, including H200, B200 and A100 GPU platforms. According to the company, the infrastructure will enable NTC to offer GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), Models-as-a-Service (MaaS) and enterprise AI capabilities through its government-managed data centres.
The company said the platform will provide computing resources, AI infrastructure and access to AI models, enabling government institutions to adopt artificial intelligence while keeping government data within Pakistan and under Pakistani jurisdiction.
According to the company, the partnership is intended to enable federal institutions to use artificial intelligence while retaining control over critical data, computing resources and digital infrastructure.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Managing Director of NTC Maj Gen Ali Farhan (Retd), HI(M), said, “Computing power is the backbone of modern digital infrastructure. By securing high-performance NVIDIA GPUs and hosting advanced AI models locally, NTC is taking a decisive step to protect Pakistan’s digital sovereignty. This self-hosted, highly secure environment minimizes exposure to public clouds while providing our designated government clients with world-class AI inference and training capabilities.”
Mehwish Salman Ali, Founder and CEO of Data Vault Pakistan, said that artificial intelligence would define the next era of national power, economic growth, and public service, adding that nations that control their data, compute, and AI infrastructure will shape their own future.
