ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, inspected the progress of various development works going on in different sections of the Motorway.

The federal minister paid a comprehensive visit to the Jalalpur Pirwala section of the Motorway (M-5). During the visit, he was accompanied by the Secretary of Communications and the Chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA).

While reviewing the development sites, Abdul Aleem Khan issued strict directives to expedite the pace of work. “All ongoing development projects on the motorway must be completed as soon as possible without any further delay,” the minister emphasized.

As part of his visit, the federal minister also inspected the M-5 service and rest areas. He thoroughly reviewed the overall standard of cleanliness, as well as the newly constructed restrooms and kitchen facilities.

Expressing his resolve to uplift commuter services, the minister stated that passengers travelling on the motorway deserve the highest quality of service. “The rest areas must provide passengers with top-tier, world-class amenities,” he said.

Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also took notice of the under-construction mosque at the service area and ordered that the construction work be accelerated and completed on an emergency basis.

Furthermore, the minister made it clear that public health and satisfaction remain top priorities. “There will be absolutely no compromise on the quality of food and beverages available at the service areas,” he warned, adding that a system of continuous monitoring must be established to ensure that motorway services and food items consistently meet high-quality standards.
