KARACHI: Sindh Secretary Information Kashif Gulzar Shaikh visited the Directorate of Social and Digital Media to review its overall performance and receive a comprehensive briefing on digital communication, social media monitoring, content development, public awareness campaigns, and future initiatives.

Director Social and Digital Media Aziz Ahmed Hakro briefed the Secretary on the Directorate’s mandate, operational performance, and ongoing efforts to effectively communicate the Government of Sindh’s policies, development projects, public welfare initiatives, and key decisions through digital platforms. He also highlighted the Directorate’s social media monitoring mechanisms, digital campaigns, production of creative content, analysis of public trends, and strategies for strengthening the government’s digital outreach.

During the visit, the Secretary inspected various sections of the Directorate, interacted with officers and staff, and reviewed the ongoing operations.

Director General Information Moazzuddin Pirzada, Director Information (Advertisement) Muhammad Yousif Kabooro, and Deputy Director Advertisement Sarang Latif Chandio were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Kashif Gulzar Shaikh appreciated the Directorate’s performance and said that digital media has become one of the most effective tools for ensuring timely, accurate, and authentic dissemination of information.

He emphasised that the Information Department must continue to leverage modern technology and innovative communication strategies to keep the public well informed about the Government of Sindh’s policies, development initiatives, and public service programmes.
