Pakistan government on Friday raised petrol and high-speed diesel prices by more than Rs13 per litre, pushing petrol to Rs310.71 per litre and diesel to Rs323.30 per litre.
According to a notification from the Petroleum Division, the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) was increased by Rs13.18 per litre to Rs310.17 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of diesel was raised by Rs13.80 per litre to Rs323.30 per litre.
New prices will take effect from July 11, 2026.
In the previous review, the federal government had reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs1.97 per litre each, taking the then rates to Rs297.53 per litre and Rs309.50 per litre, respectively.
Globally, oil prices fell on Friday after the latest round of US-Iran fighting as traders grew hopeful that shipping would eventually resume in the Strait of Hormuz, but prices remained on track to close the week sharply higher.
Brent futures were down 52 cents, or 0.68%, at $75.78 a barrel by 12:35 p.m. CDT (1735 GMT). US West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 83 cents, or 1.15%, to $71.25.
For the week, Brent was set for a gain of about 5.13% and WTI was on track for an increase of about 3.76%.
