President Asif Ali Zardari will undertake a four-day official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic from Monday (today), where he will hold discussions on a range of topics of mutual interest including trade and investment.

The Foreign Office (FO) said this in a press release, adding that President Zardari will be accompanied by a high-level delegation.

During the visit, the president will hold a one-on-one meeting and delegation-level talks with President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov.

The two leaders will review the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan relations and exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest. Discussions are expected to focus on deepening cooperation across trade and investment, energy, mining, agriculture, textiles, the halal industry, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, the digital economy, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

During his visit, the President will also receive the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament for a courtesy call.

This is the first visit by a President of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic in twenty-one years, marking a historic milestone in the bilateral relationship. It follows the successful visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, to Pakistan in December last year and reflects the sustained upward trajectory of high-level engagement between the two brotherly countries.
