KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 165,693 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 73,885 tonnes of Import Cargo and 91,808 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 73,885 tonnes Comprised of 40,920 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,856 tonnes of Chickpeas, 2,423 tonnes of Mop, & 28,686 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 91,808 tonnes Comprised of 23,750 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,158 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 48,548 tonnes of Clinkers, 1,752 tonnes of Rice & 16.600 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 07 ships namely, Hosun, Interasia Amplify, MT Karachi, Jiang Yuan Hang Zhou, Hmm Green, Benita, & Xin Beijig berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 07 ships namely, Puma 7, Maritim Valour, M.T. Lahore, Oocl Jakarta, Seaspan Oceania, MscLoreto, & Zhong Gu Tai Yuan sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of twelve ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, MSC Aquarius-VII, Peonia, Esmeralda and Darya Anita left the port & four more ships, Maersk Cotonou, Richmond Park, GSL Rossi and Rek Grace are expected to sail.
Cargo volume of 178,387 tones comprising 88,152 tones imports cargo and 90,235 export cargo carried in 6,502 Containers (1,867 TEUs Imports & 4,635 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 17 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Oceana Sky, Saehan Jasper, Trimmu-III, Star Bright and GSL Melina & another ship ‘Zhong Gu Ri Zhou’ carrying Steel Product, Palm oil, LPG, Coal and Container are expected to take berths MW-2, LCT, EVTL, PIBT and QICT respectively on Thursday 2nd July, 2026.
