ISLAMABAD: The Consumer Price Index-based inflation increased by 11.1 percent on a year-on-year (YoY) basis in June 2026 as compared to an increase of 11.7 percent in the previous month and 3.2 percent in June 2025, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data noted.

The average CPI stood at 7.05 percent in fiscal year 2025-26 compared to 4.49 percent in the previous fiscal year.

On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, CPI decreased by 0.3 percent in June 2026 as compared to an increase of 0.5 percent in the previous month and an increase of 0.2 percent in June 2025.

The CPI inflation (urban) increased by 11.2 percent on a YoY basis in June 2026, as compared to an increase of 11.8 percent in the previous month and an increase of 3.0 percent in June 2025. On aMoM basis, it decreased by 0.5 percent in June

2026, as compared to an increase of 0.7 percent in the previous month and an increase of 0.1 percent in June 2025.

The CPI inflation (rural) increased by 10.9 percent on a YoY basis in June 2026, as compared to an increase of 11.5 percent in the previous month and an increase of 3.6 percent observed in June 2025.

On a MoM basis, no change was observed in June 2026, as compared to an increase of 0.3 percent in the previous month and an increase of 0.5 percent in June 2025.
