LAHORE: In a bid to facilitate property owners and applicants before the closing of the financial year, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced extended operating hours for its Citizen Facilitation Centre alongside a major push toward digital automation.
During LDA DG Tahir Farooq’s visit to the centre here on Saturday, he announced that the centrewould remain open until 6 pm on Sunday, and on Monday and Tuesday (June 29 and 30), it would operate from 9 am to 9 pm with dedicated officers and staff available during these additional hours to assist people. He emphasised the importance of accessibility for citizens, noting the extended hours to support individuals as the financial year comes to a close.
He said that most of the town planning services provided by the LDA had been moved to the e-biz portal.
“This transition allows citizens to complete their applications online without needing to visit the LDA office for services available on the e-biz platform. Applications submitted through the e-biz portal are processed automatically,” he added.
He said further reforms were being brought about to improve the application processing experience at the Citizen Facilitation Centre.
On this occasion, the Director of the Citizen Facilitation Centre briefed the LDA DG on the current status of both sifting and non-sifting files.
