ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday conferred the honorary fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in Cardiac Surgery upon Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
President Pezeshkian, a cardiologist by profession, received the honour at a ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
The CPSP fellowship is awarded to individuals in recognition of contributions to medical education and surgical advancement.
Officials said the ceremony highlighted academic and professional linkages between Pakistan and Iran, alongside ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in multiple fields.
