NA set to approve Finance Bill today
The National Assembly is poised to approve "The Finance Bill, 2026" today after debate and considering amendments, though most opposition proposals are expected to be rejected.

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly is set to approve “The Finance Bill, 2026” today (Tuesday) after clause-by-clause consideration and incorporation of amendments.
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb will present the Finance Bill, 2026 in the Lower House of Parliament for passage.
The House will approve the Bill after thorough debate and the inclusion of proposed amendments.
According to sources, opposition members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have submitted amendments to the National Assembly Secretariat for consideration in the Bill.

However, the house is likely to reject most of the opposition’s proposals due to the majority of treasury members belonging to the PML-N, PPP, MQM-P, and other allied parties.
After the passage of the Finance Bill, 2026, Regular and Technical Supplementary Grants will also be presented in the National Assembly on tomorrow (Wednesday).
