LAHORE: A citizen approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday, against the inclusion of capacity charges in electricity bills.
The petitioner Ashba Kamran argued that it was illegal to charge people for the electricity which was not consumed.
She, therefore, prayed to the court to declare the collection of capacity charges as unconstitutional. She asked the court to annul its single bench’s decision of rejecting the petition.
She also prayed to the court to direct the federal government to present all capacity payment agreements in the parliament.
