Bilawal, Falconer reaffirm commitment to boost Pakistan, UK ties
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday visited the British High Commission in Islamabad, where he held a meeting with Hamish Falconer, British Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, Political Counsellor Nicole Roberts, and First Secretary (Political) Charlotte Eugenaka.
During the discussions, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Hamish Falconer exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. Both sides emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation across various sectors and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening mutual ties.
The two leaders also discussed Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in promoting peace and stability in the region, highlighting the significance of continued dialogue and international cooperation.
In addition, both sides agreed on the need to further expand economic relations and strengthen trade and investment opportunities between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
