Biopharmaceutical company Sanofi will stop a Phase 3 trial of its drug ‌riliprubart for a rare neurological condition after an interim analysis of the study found it unlikely to provide sufficient efficacy.

In the MOBILIZE study, the drug was being tested for chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy in patients whose condition resisted standard treatments.

An independent data monitoring committee found no ‌safety issues related to the drug during the interim analysis

Sanofi will evaluate the continuation of other ongoing riliprubart studies, including the Phase 3 VITALIZE trial. The company said the termination would not incur significant financial costs or change its 2026 financial guidance
