ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 14 terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in the Naal area of Khuzdar district, Balochistan, after receiving reports that the militants were planning attacks on a nearby police station and banks.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched a swift operation on June 8 to thwart the terrorists’ plans. During the operation, troops effectively engaged the militants, triggering an intense exchange of fire that resulted in the killing of 14 terrorists, while several others were injured. Four vehicles being used by the militants and a cache of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were also destroyed.

The operation, however, claimed the life of Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbass, who embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely against the terrorists. ISPR said sanitisation operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining militants. The military reiterated that security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue the counter-terrorism campaign under the national vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam” to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
