KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Monday said the Azimpura Flyover project has been completed in line with the 100-day deadline set by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and will be opened to traffic within next week.
During a late-night visit to the project site, Wahab said the main structure of the flyover had been completed and only finishing work remained. “The remaining work will be completed within a week, after which the flyover will be opened for public,” the Mayor said.
He said the flyover would significantly improve connectivity between Shahrah-e-Bhutto and Jinnah International Airport, easing traffic flow and reducing travel time for commuters.
He said the project reflects the commitment of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and the Pakistan Peoples’ Party leadership to improving the city’s infrastructure and addressing traffic challenges.
