ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed six terrorists linked to what the military described as the Indian proxy group “Fitna al Hindustan” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on the night of June 3-4 after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged multiple terrorist hideouts and, after an intense exchange of fire, killed six terrorists.

The ISPR said weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and a vehicle were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were allegedly involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

The military said sanitisation operations were continuing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the vicinity.
