A high-level Saudi business delegation led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pak Joint Business Council, met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday to discuss expanding economic cooperation and investment opportunities across key sectors of Pakistan’s economy, Prime Minister’s Office said.

The delegation called on the prime minister at the Prime Minister House, where senior cabinet members, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, ministers for communications, power, petroleum, IT, and finance officials were also present.

Welcoming the delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz said Pakistan was keen to transform its economic ties with Saudi Arabia into a mutually beneficial strategic economic partnership.

He recalled Prince Mansour’s previous visit to Pakistan in October 2025 and expressed hope that the current visit would help advance discussions and lead to the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and agreements in multiple sectors.

The premier conveyed his regards to Saudi Arabia’s leadership, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Prince Mansour thanked the prime minister for the hospitality and reiterated the Saudi government’s and business community’s interest in strengthening business-to-business engagement with Pakistan.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Saudi side expressed interest in investment opportunities related to ports, highways, airport outsourcing, energy, power distribution and the information technology sector.

Shehbaz welcomed Saudi investment in these sectors and highlighted agriculture and food security as additional areas where both countries could explore mutually beneficial opportunities.

The Saudi delegation is scheduled to hold meetings with government representatives and private-sector stakeholders during its visit to explore investment prospects and deepen economic cooperation in line with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s vision.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have intensified efforts in recent years to enhance trade and investment ties, with Islamabad seeking greater foreign investment to support economic growth and infrastructure development.
