Railways land worth 40m recovered

LAHORE: A grand anti-encroachment operation was successfully conducted at Railways East Colony Faisalabad to retrieve valuable land from the mafia and illegal occupants.

During the operation, nine illegal residential structures, established for more than 40 years in the form of permanent encroachments on railways land, were demolished with the assistance of Railways Police, railway administration, and railway workers.

The purpose of this operation was to retrieve valuable railway land from illegal occupants.

Despite extreme weather conditions, officers and personnel of Railways police and railway staff actively participated in the operation with dedication and professionalism.

The operation was supervised by SP Railways Police Lahore and was completed in the presence of relevant railway authorities, SHO Faisalabad, and SHO Jaranwala.

The anti-encroachment operation continued for approximately seven hours. This operation is part of the ongoing efforts to achieve the target of retrieving railways land worth Rs10 billion. During this operation, land worth Rs40 million was successfully recovered.

The IG Railways Police reiterated his commitment that operations against illegal encroachments and land mafia occupying railways property would continue without discrimination in future as well.
