LAHORE: As per vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, we are providing the best emergency services to the people. We are also completing the ongoing development schemes of ADP 2025-2026 at a rapid pace.
Provincial Minister for Health and Emergency Services Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique said this while reviewing the ongoing development schemes of ADP 2026-2025.
Salman said, “We are gradually increasing the capacity of the Emergency Services Department. Air ambulance service, establishment of new rescue stations, purchase of modern equipment for flood and other emergency services and ambulance service on motorways are very welcome steps of the Punjab government. Along with providing modern training to rescuers, special attention is also being paid to the overall improvement of the department.”
During the meeting, a detailed review of the ongoing development schemes was taken. The development schemes include construction of an airstrip in Bhakkar district, establishment of town rescue stations in South and North, expansion of emergency services and other schemes. The establishment of town rescue stations South includes Mureedwala Samundari Faisalabad, Sandhilwala Pir Mahal Toba Tek Singh, Syedwala Nankana Sahib, Rangpur Muzaffargarh, Khairpur Tamiwali Bahawalpur, Cholistan Head Farid Rahim Yar Khan, Bhattan Wan Sadiqabad Rahim Yar Khan, Kaluwal Lalian Chiniot, Winiki Tarar Hafizabad, Satyana Jaranwala Faisalabad, Mandi Bachiana Jaranwala Faisalabad, Wando Town Kamuki Gujranwala, Mandi Faizabad Nankana Sahib, Hujra Shah Dipalpur Okara, Yousafwala Sahiwal, Noor Shah Sahiwal, Bonga Hayat Pakpattan, Chowk Jamal Jahanian Khanewal, Dhornwala Chishtian Bahawalnagar and Kot Samaba. Town Rescue Stations North includes Alipur Wazirabad, Jasrawala Daska Sialkot, Dagal Mor Aimanabad Sialkot, Qila Kalrawala Pasrur Sialkot, Lakot Murree, Karkotli Satyan Murree, Kotla Arab Kharian Gujrat, Badu Milli Narowal, Isa Shakargarh Narowal, Talwandi Bhindran Narowal, Barki Road Cantt Lahore, Nishtar Town Lahore and Gulberg Model Town Lahore.
Flood rescue equipment includes aluminum airboats, fiberglass boats, inflatable boats, jet skis, landing crafts, heavy lifting drones, boat carrying trucks, water rescue drones, self-propelled lifebuoys, life jackets, digital walkie-talkies, digital base radios, digital base repeaters, digital manpack repeaters, GPS navigation devices, portable trackers for boats and OBMs.
