Dadu gets new emergency services operational base, 1122 ambulance service
DADU: In a major step towards strengthening emergency healthcare services in Sindh, the Sindh Health Department’s central emergency medical services institution has inaugurated a new Emergency Services Operational Base in Dadu and launched a Rescue 1122 ambulance service at the Shaheed Makhdoom Bilawal Health Unit. The ceremony also marked the foundation stone laying of a state-of-the-art Trauma Center that will further enhance healthcare facilities in the district.
The newly launched ambulance service will provide timely emergency medical assistance and patient transportation to residents of Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu, Johi, Kachho, and several surrounding towns and villages, particularly benefiting people living in remote and underserved areas.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by member of the National Assembly and Deputy Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh, Sardar Rafiq Ahmed Jamali, and Chief Executive Officer of Emergency Services, Brigadier (Retd.) Tariq Qadir Lakhiar.
Addressing the gathering, Sardar Rafiq Ahmed Jamali described the establishment of the Emergency Services Operational Base and the launch of the 1122 Ambulance Service as historic milestones for Dadu district. He said that under the “Health for All” vision of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, numerous healthcare and welfare initiatives are being implemented across the district to ensure better medical facilities for the people.
