Citizens donate record number of sacrificial hides to Alkhidmat
KARACHI: Citizens donated a record number of sacrificial animal hides to Alkhidmat during its Eid-ul-Azha hide collection campaign this year, while hundreds of sacrificial animals were also contributed by philanthropists under the Fee Sabeelillah Qurbani initiative.
According to a statement issued here on Saturday, Alkhidmat volunteers distributed sacrificial meat among deserving families in Gadap and other suburban areas of Karachi, benefiting thousands of households.
The hide collection campaign was supervised by Executive Director Rashid Qureshi and Qurbani Project In-Charge Sarfaraz Sheikh, who oversaw the arrangements and ensured smooth operations.
During visits to the sacrificial hide collection centres and Fee Sabeelillah Qurbani sites, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Acting Ameer Karachi Saifuddin Advocate, Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Toufeequddin Siddiqui, Alkhidmat Chief Executive Naveed Ali Baig, Director Diagnostic Services Dr Azeemuddin, Director Bano Qabil Programme Farooq Kamilani and Director WASH Programme Gohar-ul-Islam appreciated the arrangements made by Alkhidmat.
In a statement, Alkhidmat Chief Executive Naveed Ali Baig thanked the people of Karachi for donating a record number of sacrificial hides. He said Karachiites had once again expressed their trust in Alkhidmat by donating more hides than in 2025. He described the public response as highly encouraging and said it reflected the confidence people place in the organisation’s welfare activities.
Naveed Ali Baig said that, like previous years, Alkhidmat arranged hundreds of Fee Sabeelillah (Waqf) Qurbanis during Eid-ul-Azha. He said philanthropists participated enthusiastically, while Alkhidmat volunteers delivered sacrificial meat directly to deserving and needy families at their homes.
