The government reaffirmed on Friday its commitment to supporting the investment climate and ensuring maximum facilitation for the business community.
Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik said this during a meeting with President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Faheem ur Rehman, as per a statement.
The meeting discussed matters related to the business environment, investment facilitation, and the energy supply situation in the country.
During the meeting, the minister said that the government was taking practical steps to promote economic stability, encourage investment, and strengthen coordination with relevant stakeholders.
“President LCCI Faheem ur Rehman appreciated the Federal Government’s diplomatic efforts and stated that Pakistan has demonstrated responsible and effective diplomacy in the prevailing regional situation,” the statement read.
The president also commended the Ministry of Petroleum for ensuring continuity of supply and efficient handling of the situation despite disruptions caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Faheem ur Rehman also shared suggestions and proposals from the business community aimed at further improving the investment environment and addressing key issues faced by industries.
