FAISALABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has awarded the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz to Muhammad Yasin Khan, founder and president of Sundas Foundation, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to humanitarian service, social welfare, thalassemia prevention, and the care of children suffering from blood disorders.
The award was presented during a special investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where several distinguished individuals from different walks of life were also honoured with national awards.
Muhammad Yasin Khan received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his selfless services over the past four decades for children suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, and other blood-related diseases.
Through the platform of Sundas Foundation, Muhammad Yasin Khan has played a key role in providing free blood transfusions, medicines, diagnostic facilities, and treatment to thousands of sick children across the country. Under his leadership, the foundation established welfare centers in Lahore and other cities, where deserving patients continue to receive regular medical care.
