Pakistan government on Friday reduced the prices of petroleum products by Rs5 per liter, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).

The price of petrol (Motor Spirit) was cut from Rs414.78 to Rs409.78 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was reduced from Rs414.58 to Rs409.58 per litre.

The revised prices will take effect from May 16, 2026.

The latest reduction comes a week after the government increased petroleum prices by around Rs15 per litre amid fluctuations in international oil prices and exchange rate pressures, which directly affect domestic fuel pricing.
