US official meets Dar

ISLAMABAD: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Paul Kapur, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional developments.

The DPM/FM appreciated President Trump’s vision for peace, the Iran–US ceasefire understanding, and the visit of US Vice President JD Vance to Pakistan (April 11–12). He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy.

Expressing satisfaction over the current momentum in Pakistan–US relations, the DPM/FM welcomed growing engagement between the two countries and the expansion of cooperation across multiple fields.
