ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps Balochistan killed seven terrorists linked to Indian-backed “Fitna Al Hindustan” during a sanitisation operation in Barkhan district on Tuesday, while five security personnel, including a major, were martyred in an intense exchange of fire.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations said the operation was launched in the general area of Nosham in Barkhan district after intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists.

The military said troops engaged a group of militants during the operation, resulting in the killing of seven terrorists. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the militants killed during the exchange.
