LDA intensifies efforts against illegal commercial buildings
LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has intensified its efforts against illegal commercial buildings and commercial fee defaulters, resulting in the sealing of 203 properties.
According to LDA on Monday, following the directives of LDA DG Tahir Farooq, the LDA Town Planning Wing conducted operations in Gulberg, Faisal Town, Gulshan Ravi, Gujarpura, Samanabad, Shadbagh, UET, NFC, Punjab Government Employees Cooperative Scheme, College Road, and Allama Iqbal Town. The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner Asad-uz-Zaman and Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali.
In these operations, 19 properties were sealed in Gulberg and Faisal Town, while 84 properties were sealed in Gulshan Ravi, Gujarpura, Samanabad, and Shadbagh for illegal commercial use.
Additionally, 60 properties in UET, NFC, and the Punjab Government Employees Cooperative Scheme on College Road were sealed due to illegal commercial operations and non-payment of commercial fees.
Furthermore, 40 properties in Allama Iqbal Town were sealed as part of the recovery effort.
