ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the attack in Charsadda that led to the martyrdom of religious figure Maulana Muhammad Idrees.
In an official statement on Tuesday, the President extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and patience for his loved ones. He also conveyed best wishes for the speedy recovery of police personnel injured in the incident.
President Zardari strongly condemned the attack, terming it a cowardly act of terrorism, and asserted that such incidents cannot weaken the resolve of the nation. He emphasized that Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism remains firm and unwavering.
Reaffirming the government’s stance, the president said that indiscriminate action against terrorist elements will continue until the country is transformed into a cradle of peace.
