3rd ‘Int’l Brain & Biomedicines Conference’ commences at GCUF

FAISALABAD: The third International Brain and Biomedicines Conference 2026 (IBBC-2026) commenced on Monday, May 4, at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), bringing together leading scientists, researchers and students from across the globe.

The two-day international conference is being held under the leadership of renowned neuroscientist and IBRO grant awardee Dr Ghulam Hussain, Chairman of the Department of Physiology. The event is jointly organised by the Department of Physiology and the Department of Pharmaceutics.

The conference is part of the International Brain Awareness Week and aims at promoting awareness about brain health and advancements in biomedical sciences. It is sponsored by the International Brain Research Foundation (UK), Dana Foundation (France) and COMSTECH, highlighting its global significance.

More than 60 national and international institutions are represented at the conference, reflecting its wide outreach and academic importance. The opening ceremony was attended by prominent academic figures, including Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali and Vice Chancellor University of Kamalia Prof Dr Yasir Nawab.

The conference features keynote addresses by distinguished national and international experts, focusing on emerging trends and research in brain sciences and biomedical fields.
