Speculators cut raw sugar short position, raise longs on coffee

NEW YORK: Speculators reduced their bearish bet in futures of raw sugar on ICE US in the week to April 28, while increasing their net long position in arabica coffee, data from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission showed on Friday.
ICE sugar speculators cut net short position by 21,058 contracts to 141,633. ICE coffee speculators raised net long position by 2,601 contracts to 16,626. ICE cocoa speculators increased net short position by 3,194 contracts to 36,351. ICE cotton speculators cut net long position by 879 contracts to 66,699.
