Thailand car production rises 2.7% y/y in March

BANGKOK: Car production in Thailand rose 2.69% in March from a year earlier to 133,413 units, the Federation of Thai Industries said on Monday.
The rise followed a 3.43% rise in February.
Thailand is Southeast Asia’s biggest auto production centre and export base for top carmakers including Toyota and Honda.
The FTI has forecast car production will rise by 3% to 1.5 million units in 2026, after a 0.9% dip to 1.455 million last year.
