Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived on Saturday at the Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s House to discuss the regional situation with PM Shehbaz Sharif, the PM Office said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, along with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, were also present with the prime minister during the meeting.

“Was pleased to meet H.E. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, and his delegation in Islamabad today. Had a most warm, cordial exchange of views on the current regional situation. We also discussed matters of mutual interest, including the further strengthening of Pakistan–Iran bilateral relations,” PM Shehbaz said in a post on X after the meeting.

Pakistan is intensifying its diplomatic push to revive Iran-US talks by seeking a second round of talks in Islamabad, positioning itself as a key mediator after an initial, inconclusive meeting.
