KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 142,182 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 64,504 tonnes of Import Cargo and 77,678 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 64,504 tonnes Comprised of 45,312 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 2,768 tonnes of Mop, 10,350 tonnes of Rock Phosphate, & 6,074 tonnes of Soya Beans Seeds.
The Total Export Cargo of 77,678 tonnes Comprised of 35,310 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 399 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 32,912 tonnes of Clinkers, 1,557 tonnes of Rice & 7,500 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 05 ships namely, Lepton, Martini, Esl Mundra, Clearocean Apollon, & Kmtc Chennai berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 04 ships namely, Mt Lahore, asl nan jing, marine ista, & oocldalian sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two container ships New Voyager and CMA CGM Verdi left the port on Thursday morning and three more ships, Young Glory, Bolan and African Raptor are expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
A cargo volume of 99,729 tonnes comprising 84,066 tonnes imports cargo and 15,663 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,723 containers (1.223 TEUs imports and 500 TEUs exports), were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
There are 14 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them three ships, PVT Avira, Eraclea and An Hai Star & another ship MSC York VII are expected to take berths at FOTCO, PIBT, MW-2 and QICT respectively on Thursday, 23rd April-2026.
