FBR HQ Islamabad clinches 6th FBR Cricket Cup 2025-26 title

RAWALPINDI: FBR HQ Islamabad emerged victorious in a closely contested final of the 6th FBR Cricket Cup 2025–26, defeating FBR Lahore Greens by 4 runs at the Railway Cricket Ground.

Batting first, Islamabad posted a competitive total of 229/5. In response, Lahore Greens put up a spirited fight but were bowled out for 225, falling just short in a nail-biting finish.

Aqib Javed was named Man of the Match for his outstanding all-round performance, contributing 86 runs and claiming 3 wickets. Ahsan Ayub also shone with a century, scoring 102 runs.

Captain Siddique Khan Afridi led Islamabad with composure and tactical excellence, also contributing with 2 wickets. Other notable performances included Taqweem Abbasi and Raja Zahid, who took 2 wickets each.

The final was graced by distinguished guests including Umar Akmal, Adnan Akmal, Abdur Rehman, and Nadeem Rizvi (DG IRIS Academy Lahore).
