GWM Pakistan rolls out CKD Assembly of SUV Tank 500

LAHORE: Great Wall Motor (GWM), in partnership with Sazgar Engineering Works Limited, has officially announced the CKD rollout of its flagship luxury SUV, the Tank 500, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s automotive sector. The occasion also commemorates five successful years of GWM’s presence in Pakistan, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation, localization, and premium mobility.

The prestigious ceremony was graced by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (Minister of State) for Industries & Production Division as Chief Guest, along with Sun Yan, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, highlighting the strengthening industrial and economic collaboration between Pakistan and China.

Speaking on the occasion, Walker, Country Manager, GWM Pakistan, stated:

“The CKD rollout of the Tank 500 marks a defining milestone for GWM in Pakistan. Being the first country outside China to assemble the Tank 500 PHEV reflects our confidence in this market and our long-term commitment to its growth.”
