Polio vaccination drive: Aseefa for ensuring every child is vaccinated
ISLAMABAD: First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has urged all parents and communities to ensure that every child is vaccinated with anti-polio drops.
In a post on her X handle on Monday, she said, “I call on families and communities across Pakistan to fully cooperate with the upcoming nationwide polio vaccination campaign, set to begin on April 13, and ensure that every child is protected from the disease.”
She said that Pakistan began its nationwide polio campaign from Monday, and we are closer than ever to ending polio, but the final mile demands collective resolve.
She said that during the anti-polio drive, over 45 million children will be reached.
Aseefa Bhutto Zardari extended gratitude to frontline workers going door-to-door to protect the country’s future, saying that no child must be left behind. She said that together, we can turn Pakistan into a polio-free country.
