LAHORE: In line with the governments sustainability policies, MG Motors has extended its Start Smart Campaign to encourage more consumers to switch to New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) as fuel prices continue to rise across the country.
An MG spokesperson said, “With nearly 70 percent of Pakistan’s fuel being imported, the country remains exposed to international price shocks and regional supply disruptions. In such an environment, the case for NEVs becomes even stronger. They are not only a smarter financial choice for individual car owners looking to reduce running costs, but also make sense at a broader national level by helping reduce dependence on imported fuel.”
The spokesperson added that rising fuel prices have made long-term efficiency and energy diversification more important than ever for Pakistani consumers. As more buyers evaluate the total cost of ownership rather than just the upfront price of a vehicle, NEVs are emerging as a practical and forward-looking solution.
