KARACHI: Sindh Governor, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi met Sindh Ombudsman Muhammad Sohail Rajput, at the Governor House on Saturday, where both discussed measures to improve the delivery of timely justice and redress of public complaints.

Rajput congratulated the Governor on assuming office and extended his best wishes.

He briefed him on steps being taken by the Ombudsman’s office to provide swift relief to citizens, particularly in addressing grievances against government departments.

The Governor appreciated the performance of the institution, saying the Ombudsman plays a key role in ensuring access to justice for ordinary citizens.

“The institution is playing an important role in providing timely justice and relief to the common man,” he said, expressing satisfaction over efforts to improve the handling of public complaints.

The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening mechanisms for grievance redressal as part of broader efforts to enhance governance and public service delivery in the province.

In an other meeting at the Governor House same day, Sindh Governor House Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi and Senator Abid Sher Ali discussed the overall situation in Sindh, and measures to strengthen coordination between the federal and provincial governments.

The meeting focused on ongoing development projects in the province and the role of Federal government in advancing public welfare initiatives.

Senator Abid Sher Ali congratulated Hashmi on assuming office, with best wishes.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening democratic institutions in the country.

They also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation to ensure effective implementation of development schemes and improving service delivery for citizens.

The senator appreciated Hashmi’s efforts and commitment to public service.
