KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 268,063 tonnes of cargo comprising 190,690 tonnes of import cargo and 77,373 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 190,690 tonnes comprised of 106,281 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 3,650 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate, 8,879 tonnes of Canola, 6,461 tonnes of Chickpeas, 8,800 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds & 56,619 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 77,3733 tonnes comprised of 61,254 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 522 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 6,163 tonnes of Cement, 6,134 tonnes of Clinkers & 3,300 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 06 ships namely, Albert P, MscJeongmin, Esl Kabir, Sea Elegant, Marine Ista & Papu berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
