Illegal commercial penalties & commercialisation fee: LDA’s officers instructed to ensure collection
LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning officers have been instructed to intensify field monitoring and ensure collection of illegal commercial penalties and the commercialisation fee in line with targets.
LDA DG Tahir Farooq issued the instruction during a meeting held here on Friday to review cases on the EBiz portal, the overall performance of the Town Planning Wing, and the ongoing revenue generation campaign. The LDA DG said that the commercialisation fee should be prioritised for recovery from properties located on newly commercialised highways.
During the meeting, he also instructed that in cases of delay and unfounded objections on the EBiz portal, responses should be sought from the concerned officers. Additionally, other services of the Town Planning Wing should be transferred to the EBiz portal soon. He insisted that the Chief Town Planners and the relevant directors should evaluate the EBiz portal cases on a daily basis.
The meeting reviewed the steps to further enhance the functionality of the EBiz portal. The LDA Town Planning Directors and IT officers gave briefings on the cases received on the EBiz portal and the overall performance of the Town Planning Wing.
