KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 165,476 tonnes of cargo comprising 124,267 tonnes of import cargo and 41,209 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 124,267 tonnes comprised of 87,995 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 2,368 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate, 3,003 tonnes of Canola & 30,901 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 41,209 tonnes comprised of 22,045 tonnes of Containerized Cargo,70 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 10,700 tonnes of Clinkers, & 5,194 tonnes of Loose Bulk Cement, & 3,200 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 07 ships namely, Ibrahim Jahan, Da Qing 576, Charlotte Schulte, Spirit of Bertram, Angel, Marine Ista, & Msc Sofia Celeste berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 05 ships namely, Zhong Gu Hang Zhou, Cscl Star, Pop, Montok, Wan Hai 515, & Spirit Of Bertram, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a Gas carrier ‘Venus-9’ left the port on Thursday morning, while two more ships, Tian FU and Virgo are expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 78,552 tones comprising 78,552 tones imports cargo and 0 export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 10 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Crystal-O, Navigator Aries, Celsius Middlefart and Exquisite & two more ships, Deira Ghair and Hansa Europe carrying Yellow Peas, LPG, Chemicals, LNG, Mogas and Container expected to take berth at MW-2, SSGC, EVTL, EETL, FOTCO and QICT on Thursday 26th March, 2026.
